Is Omegapro a scam or legit company? Are they licensed and/or regulated?

Answer: Hi Anonymous,

OmegaPro LTD is an offshore broker registered in the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The fact is that St. Vincent and the Grenadines is an offshore zone, which does register the financial investment firm, but provides very poor if none requirements to the company operation. That means, the broker is not regulated, not overseen and does not comply with strict international rules that provide protective measures to the traders. Therefore, it became an offshore zone for shady forex brokers such as CVC Markets, AAG Markets and more. Read more about St. Vincent and the Grenadines regulation by the link.

We never advise trading with an offshore broker, since the financial investment service they deliver is not trustable. The reason is simple, the broker may promise the most ever competitive trading conditions or the trading environment, yet the trader has no any guarantee from the official entities that oversee the Forex industry. Thus the engagement to trading with such a companies means the trader will believe only on the broker’s words, and of course, it is a high risk.

  5. Unfortunately, Omegapro is not legit. It is an unauthorized broker and investment service. Omegapro is offering financial and investment services, while both require licenses from financial regulators. That is the law in most countries in the world.

But Omegapro has no license whatsoever. It is based in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and it is not authorized as an investment service anywhere in the world. Among other things, it means that clients’ deposits are not insured. So, when one day money from Omegapro accounts disappear, there will be no refunds.

The Spanish financial regulator CNMV has confirmed that Omegapro is an unauthorized investment service. Which in itself is a strong recommendation to stay away from it. Every other financial regulator in the world would come to the same conclusion as the CNMV.

Update: In 2021, the Belgian financial regulator FSMA has warned the public that OmegaPro exhibits signs of a Ponzi scheme and also the French financial regulator AMF has blacklisted OmegaPro.
