It is different. It provides you with same capabilities and functionality that the MTs give you, except when it comes to automating trades. However, it compensates in its own ways with a lot of other features and tools and integrations that are not available on the MTs.
I think this is the best broker for trading some grown man assets. I’m talking about stocks or bonds, the asset classes that require some larger knowledge rather than simple technical stuff. Everybody can monitor charts and trade from support and resistance. It won’t work with equities or ETFs.

This broker pleasantly surprised me closer to the end of the year. Earlier I knew about the broker. But relative to the question asked, there are training materials, all easy to find, on the exclusive indicators offered by the broker. Simply click the indicator on the homepage of the brokers’ website on the menu bar and you will find the manuals on the use and setup of these add-ons.

It turned out that ActivTrades is not that simple…
Leverage is classified according to number of parameters.
First of all, amount of leverage depends on financial market. For each market, broker offers specific conditions on size of leverage.
Leverage size is divided depending on trading platform. Thus, choice of trading platform will affect trading conditions.
Now we move on to selection of assets. Most assets inside certain markets have the same leverage size, but some of them have exceptions. Meaning some indices have leverage of 1:200, and some have 1:100.
Last factor affecting leverage size is number of lots opened on such asset. If trader opens huge amount of orders, leverage reduces. And number of lots differs depending on platform and asset.
It is crucial that broker doesn’t hide leverage size and provides detailed information about each asset. It will help me in my future trading!

Not for all of the instruments actually. Commission is essential on shares and ETFs. It varies according to the region of the asset.
European instruments require 0.05% of the transaction value and minimum commission of €1 or 0.01% and €5 min. London exchange assets will need 0.10% and £1 minimum. New york entities plus international have US$0.02 per share and US$1 minimum commission.
All the remaining ActivTrades instruments can be traded without commission.

I like the attitude of activtrades to its clients as it shows that all of the people are different and we all have different habits and preferences in trading. It all starts with choosing of trading platforms. Activtrades supports metatrader 4 and 5 along with its custom trading platform which is also appropriate for trading.

A lot of people here write about low spreads and no commissions… For me the low spreads of a broker are not important at all, I open long positions and set take profit at 100-200 pips. So whether the spread is 0.5 points or 2 points is totally insignificant to me.
For me, the other things are important. The quotes here are real and don’t have the flaws of dd brokers’ quotes.
Scalping is allowed, opening short and long positions against each other is allowed. No-no limits.lol

Negative balance protection was something that I looked for. Not just it of course. I mean I wanted a respected and well -regulated broker with neg balance protection. Certainly there are brokers that don’t offer negative balance protection. Activtrades does have it. You don’t wanna be in a situation when you owe broker a mony, trust me. I know the cases and this is not the kind of experience I would want to go through.

MT charts reflect bid price by default so that’s often an issue with inexperienced traders not knowing why thier buy orders don’t get executed while the price seems to have reached the order value. Ask price must be reached. 99% of complains of this type refer to this issue with charts refelcting the bid price.
As for expiration, I’m lost in guesses as for which contracts you could have traded. Most CFDs don’t have an expiration date.
Some brokers really offer trading CFDs based on futures with a certain expiration date and these assets are not very popular among CFD traders. The issue is that trading these assets really requires little more attention than typical forex or crypto trading. Such CFDs contracts terminate on a certain date and liquidity can really get very low when coming close to the expiration which results in slippages and price gaps. Traders need to be careful and rollover when the volume decreases compared to the next contract.
